How do you pitch a technical product?

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of sales people selling to technical buyers with over the top technical and niche language. I guess the point is to relate to your audience and use the language they’re using? But sometimes, it’s so overkill even the technical buyers don’t understand it.

It reminds me of when I try to appeal to my Gen Z coworkers but go so overboard with it, that it just gives them the ick 🙃 (@rachelwong @jatamaccabe Did I nail that?)

Why not just talk “normally” instead of buzzword bombing people? I’m sure the technical questions will come once they understand what you’re selling.
