Avoiding the 7 deadly outreach sins

Apr 30, 2024

7 deadly outreach sins I’ve committed 😵:

1. Getting an intro to someone and assuming they will hop on a call with you

2. Taking up valuable call time telling them about me, my story and how I got here (hint - they don’t care)

3. Lazy follow ups so I can check it off my list

4. Offering money for a conversation (sounds good in theory but unlikely to actually be helpful)

5. Researching a prospect for > 30min, writing and rewriting an outreach message and then deciding they’re not a good fit and I shouldn’t reach out

6. Using fuzzy search instead of the quotations for exact search. VP of Sales can easily turn into Manager of RFID Sales...

7. Blindly trusting I should make my email subjects “Quick Question {name}”Sharing with you all so you don't make the same mistakes

💀Any you'd like to add to the list?
