Check out some of these top examples I've been seeing on the daily:
Sales reps that put themselves first ❌
vs. Sales reps that put the lead first ✅
"Here's my calendar link to book a meeting" ❌
"What's your availability Thursday or Friday afternoon? If it's easier, here's my calendar" ✅
After a lead responds asking for more info..."Sure, are you free Friday for a quick call?" ❌
"Sharing this attachment with more info. Up for a chat if this looks relevant? Happy to share more then." ✅
Over qualifying the lead by asking about budget to prove they are worth a meeting ❌
Spending time to understand the lead first and IF you can even help ✅
Reaching out before the end of the quarter to hit your quota ❌
Reaching out based on the lead's signals ✅
Following up with no context because it's fast - "Just bumping this up..." ❌
Taking the time to provide context and prove why you should follow up ✅
Not taking into consideration the time zone of the lead."How about this Fri at 3?" ❌
"How about this Fri at noon your time (EST)?" ✅
Slight changes to put your lead first show them that you've taken the time to consider their time (and why they should consider some time with you!). What do you think?
