How to win with every out of office reply

On the surface, “Out of Offices” can feel like dead-ends. But usually that’s because the sender doesn’t follow up afterwards. This is a big mistake… HUGE.
OOOs are your secret weapon for 3 major reasons:
1. An OOO means you’ve got a verified email.
Your message didn’t disappear into the void (thank god). Your recipient is out there, getting your emails, and they’ll be back. They WILL respond if you have something compelling enough to say.
2. You’ve just been handed a playbook.
Most OOOs tell you exactly when they’ll be back, and that’s the key. Instead of letting your sequence break, make your next move on that Thursday or Friday after they’re back, when their inbox isn’t a dumpster fire anymore. Timing is everything!
3. Name drops in OOOs.
Some OOOs drop the names and contact information of colleagues! Now you’re reaching out to verified emails of relevant contacts, not just sitting around waiting. Use name drops and make your outreach a little less cold.
At Rocketbrew, we use OOOs heavily to our advantage. If managing all these details feels like a lot (I get it, you’re busy), Rocketbrew’s AI engine automates all of this for you until a meeting is actually booked!
