What's the difference between variables and personalization?

PSA: Using variables like this→ Hello {first_name} is NOT personalization….

This is actually templatization.

So if a vendor is talking to you about hyper-personalization, it’s up to you to find out if it’s actually hyper-templatization.

PS: Anybody else get embarrassed when a template doesn't clean up the lead or company names? At Rocketbrew, we've built in many extra catches so you don't send "COMPANY INC. ™" and instead just send "Company" ✨
